Outdoor spaces support many vital aspects of a child's development, such as sensory development, movement, intelligence, art, providing places to play, learning, sharing stories, sitting quietly, and relaxing. Taking the classroom outdoors is a growing trend in modern education, with increasing evidence proving its benefits to learning, social skills, and health. Sir Ken Robinson, the author of the most viewed TED Talk of all time, said, "We learn more from the world around us and from each other than we can just sit indoors at our desks." What really drives education is curiosity, trying to fill the gaps in our understanding. And the world around us is a great resource to stimulate that curiosity. He gave 5 benefits of organizing outdoor activities as follows:

1. Nature is an inexhaustible source of ideas and materials.
2. Children learn through hands-on activities
3. Outdoor play provokes the interest of children
4.The opportunity for children to work in groups to build social communication skills
5. Outdoor activities are fun and improve the quality of education

In addition, Ukiyo Preschool also found that practising natural activities also helps children to train their stamina and ability to adapt to extreme environmental conditions such as weather, noise, insects... this helps the children to regulate their emotions, train patience, and nurture their love to explore the natural and social world around them - as well as to lay the foundation for building characteristics that always carry a spirit of mobility ready to wait for a world of constant change.

For children to confidently step into the big world, survival skills are essential. B2N provides children with critical skills to help them gain the knowledge and the courage to survive unexpected situations when the future is still unknown.

Understanding the endless benefits of letting children immerse themselves in nature, Ukiyo Preschool has built an outdoor activity program called Back2Nature (B2N). B2N is designed based on 5 main axes: MOTIVATION (gross, fine, highlighting highly challenging movements), LIVING SKILLS, EXTERNAL STRIPS, FINE ARTS, and NATURAL SCIENCE

Each content of the B2N program as well as other programs of Ukiyo Preschool is designed based on the characteristics of age-physiological development, both relevant and challenging, helping children to improve their skills and lead the child to reach the available potentials within, while following the individual development, respecting the child's natural path.

Ukiyo Preschool believes that our children will deeply look forward to the B2N lessons at school
