Ukiyo's students and teachers visited the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum on a beautiful summer day in Saigon.

The building was built nearly a century ago. Through the ups and downs of history, the building has become a home for over 20,000 works of art.

The children lined up neatly and orderly as soon as they got off the bus to enter the gate and up the stairs leading to the gallery, always walking quietly throughout the tour. Although only in preschool, it is important to be polite and courteous, especially in public places that require quiet, such as the museum. We were very proud that they did it very well. We were beaming with pride when others whispered, "How sensible they are!"

Children could admire the first elevator in Saigon, the stained glass panes from Europe, the very Vietnamese yin and yang tile roof, the deep corridors, and the national treasure — a lacquer painting titled North Central South Spring Garden — as they walked through the spiraling stairs.

Children were especially enthusiastic about the ceramics display area. Children were able to touch and feel Southern Vietnam ceramic products with their own unique characteristics just yesterday at The Ceramics Garden. They can now see more ceramic products from other places. They talked about it as if they were adults who were very knowledgeable about ceramics.

Some of them were attracted to the painting "War and Peace." Some of them were interested in fruit still life paintings. Many of them were interested in the bronze statue, walking around and scrutinizing it. It was fascinating to observe how children learn, receive information, and listen to each other's opinions when conversing.

From an early age, children begin to form an impression and gradually form the concept of distinguishing and expressing emotions in beauty, resulting in the formation of an aesthetic sense.

Time flew by, but there were still so many interesting things to discover, so it's time to say goodbye to this building; hopefully, you'll be able to return in the future to learn more deeply and feel the beauty of art.
